Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) - Mr Kamal Ardakani, Head of Foreign Affairs Department at Lady Masuma Shrine (sa) in Qom remarked that more than 2000 sightseeing groups have visited the holy shrine since the beginning of Persian New year (March 21, 2017); he also asserted that 170 Q & A sessions have been held in order to address the foreign tourists' religious inquiries regarding Islam.
"In total, more than 11000 Christian travelers visited the holy shrine of Lady Masuma (sa) in Qom this year including 6000 women visitors." Ardakani added.
Asserting that special programs have been created to host this massive number of foreign tourists Kamal Ardakani added, "The department of foreign affairs at lady Masuma (sa) Shrine receives tourists on a daily basis from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m."
He further said that some special gates have been designated to welcome tourists into holy shrine; "Our experienced guides will receive these Christian tourists at the gates and start a tour to show them around the holy shrine and offer them information about the prominent figures who are buried there and to explain the history of different parts of the holy shrine."
Head of the foreign affairs department at Lady Masuma Shrine (sa) concluded by saying, "If necessary, we will also arrange meetings to answer religious questions, hold free discussions as well as interfaith dialogues in the presence of religious scholars and experts in our office."
